Who We Are

BoneFire is the youth ministry of The Rock Church. Every Wednesday at 7:00 PM, middle and high school students meet in the Student Room for a time of fellowship, prayer, worship, and an energetic message in a service geared especially for them. We believe that students should base their lives not on personalities and trends, but on principles and truths. This will not only challenge but convict them to have a deeper relationship with God, grow further in the Word, and share the love of Jesus with everyone they meet!

What Does BoneFire Mean?

"But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!" -- Jeremiah 20:9, NLT
"BoneFire" is a pretty unorthodox name for a ministry. However, Jeremiah chapter 20, verse 9 exemplifies how today's youth need to live their lives! They need to be so filled with the Word and the knowledge of what Jesus has done for them that they simply cannot hold it in! It should really be like a fire in their bones; they should be so on fire for God that it is evident in everything they do.
